Supporting vulnerable communities across Peru.
Our passion is to create meaningful change, one action at a time.”
Ayudando Abrigando is a youth-led Peruvian nonprofit that promotes the circular economy. We collect PET bottles and HDPE containers, transform the recycled material into warm clothing, and donate it to communities across Peru.
I joined as a volunteer at just eight years old, after my sister founded the organization as a school project in 2016. When she left to attend Duke University in 2021, I took on greater responsibilities—first as treasurer, then as vice president, and, since 2024, as president.
Along the way, I have had the privilege of working alongside my four siblings, all of whom have led the organization and have been my greatest teachers.
Today, I am proud to share what we have achieved together and the legacy we continue to build as a family.
